Week 9 - Victory

Trick or Treat

The word of the day is VICTORY.

Did you know ....
Nike was the ancient Greek goddess of Victory? Her name? Victoria!
A Nike costume would have been great for Halloween.
It may be too late to dress up as the ancient Greek goddess of Victory
but it is never too late to clothe yourself in Victory!

Victory, Victory, is our cry......

V - I - C - T - O - R - Y

To the victor goes the spoils
Victory at all cost
The last man standing is the victor
Victory Lane
Victory Lap
Victory from the jaws of defeat
No joy in Mudville tonight...
Victory from within
Victory is sweet
The sweet taste of Victory

From "Chariots of Fire"
Harold M. Abrahams:..... If I can't win, I won't run!
Sybil Gordon
:..................If you don't run, you can't win.

Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!

“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place. And I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward; how much you can take and keep moving forward.” ~ Rocky Balboa

I AM William Wallace" ~ Braveheart

"Aye, fight and you may die.
Run, and you'll live. At least awhile.
And dying in beds, many years from now,
would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that...
for one chance...just ONE CHANCE
to come back here to tell our enemy that they may take our lives,
but they will never take............OUR FREEDOM!!!"

There is something deep in the soul of man that desires victory.
Every person must define what level of accomplishment will satisfy this
hunger for victory.

How do we define victory? Conquest over an enemy?
Achieving your goal? Surviving? Not losing?

Just a few questions to help you with this thought....
1.  If you win, did someone lose?
2.  What price did you pay for Victory?
3.  What price are you willing to pay for Victory?
4.  Can you have Victory without a clearly defined objective?
5.  Will there always be obstacles in life to overcome?
6.  Do you have what it takes to be Victorious? (yes, you do.... trust me!)
7.  Can you play by the rules and achieve Victory?
8.  Can you quit and still taste Victory?
9.  Does past Victory guarantee future Victory?
10. Can you lose and still be Victorious?
11.  Can you lose a battle and still gain Victory in the war?

STOP!

VICTORY.

What was the first thought that entered your mind?

The first thought that entered my mind, now and when I first started pondering Victory, is Resurrection.

Resurrection is the ultimate Victory.
Resurrection - Zoe (life) Victorious over death!

Your life of Victory begins with resurrection.
Your life of Victory begins with a relationship with your Heavenly Father....
......this is resurrection.....this is Victory!

Nothing can separate you from the love of the Father.....this is forever Victory!

I love you.

Dad
